The Mare Nostrum project was an unusual one. Commisioned by Nick Laing, MD at travel company Steppes Travel, to document a journey by motorbike around the Mediterranean in early Summer 2009.
The website was set up before the journey began. The centrepiece is the homepage which featured a map showing the planned route in blue. As the journey progressed each week the route covered was changed to a red line and a new marker added with a link to a diary entry.
The site is built in dreamweaver with an embedded flash-built map.
